This was one of the better books in the series. Really enjoyed it.

Francis decides to order a mail order bride for his brother after the family loses their parents. His little sister needs a woman in her life and they are sick of eating jerky for every meal. When Tracy arrives, Andrew isn't too excited about the whole deal but it doesn't take him long to realize that Francis did a good thing for them.

Tracy was left at an orphanage when she was just days old. The note saying her mother would be back for her made it so the orphanage could not adopt her out but when she turned 18 they had to then her away to make room for others. She enjoys the idea of being a mail order bride because the requirements are what she's already familiar with. Cook, clean and make everyone happy. Except her husband who wants to send her back and she holds on to that thought, even after they become husband and wife in all ways. It takes a while for Andy to convince her he wants her to stay after all.

Mail Order Meddler...once again another great story. The details of each character are fantastic. You do feel like you know them. Lots of love and hardships, making the love stronger. I enjoy each book. Anxiously waiting to hear about Francis and his mail order bride...
This book didn't capture me like most of her books did. It was a wonderful read and I can't wait til the next mail order bride including seeing the little brother in this book get married and take on his bride. It was just something about this this book that didn't capture me like the rest did but it was a good book overall.
Another great addition to Brides of Beckham. I enjoyed Tracy and her story. Looking forward to Francis story now that I read a preview. I highly suggest this book. It is a stand alone. But you will enjoy it more, if you read the others in the series.
Mail Order Meddler was a nice read I needed on a day I'd received very sad news. Tracy, a young woman raised in an orphanage as so many were during the late 1800s. As often happened she was coming to the last few days before turning 18 meant she must either find work or marry.

This book had all of the ingredients for a very nice novel, which I did enjoy, however if the time and skill were used to allow the reader to feel how each person worked, played and felt I would have gladly paid $12.00 to read books by Kirsten Osborn!
Felling the need for a woman in their life, Frances sends a letter to Elizabeth Miller requesting a mail order bride and signs his brother's name to it. Frances decides after reading Tracy Beckham's letter, she will be the perfect wife for his brother Andrew and sends her the tickets to Nowhere Texas and doesn't tell her brother about it till she arrives. With reluctance, he marries her anyway. When Frances confesses his deception to Tracy she decides to make the best of the situation and be the best wife she can be anyway.
Andy's brother wrote to the matchmaker pretending to be Andy asking for a wife. They needed a woman to cook, clean and generally take care of them. He didn't tell Andy till the night before she was to arrive. Tracey grew up an orphan and all she wanted was for someone to love her.

This is a great story, a bit emotional and very interesting as far as learning about the people who are responsible for directing one's life. Definitely a book to read.
Tracy is an orphan who just turned eighteen and must find her own way now. Not finding a job, she signs up to become a mail-order-bride. Francis and his siblings have tried to manage after the death of his parents, but they weren't very successful at it. Francis wanted his older brother to marry so they would have someone to cook and clean and raise the younger siblings. The last thing Andy wants is more responsibility, so he refuses to marry. Francis applies for a mail-order-bride for Andy and is certain he can talk Andy into the idea by the time she arrives. Tracy is excited to finally have a family and to be wanted and loved by them. Andy finds out about his mail-order-bride the day she is due to arrive and has no intention to marry her. This is a sweet story, with some twists and turns. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is for the typos, ie. meat instead of meet, etc.
